Safe-up your nucleic acid electrophoresis with the HydraGreen™ product line.
HydraGreen™ is a safe and inexpensive alternative to ethidium bromide (a strongly suspected carcinogen). HydraGreen™ has the same sensitivity as ethidium without the carcinogenicity.
HydraGreen™ can be added to 50°C agarose or used as a post-electrophoresis stain.
This Blue LED Illuminator (cat: IDFL01) is perfect for visualizing DNA stained with HydraGreen™. The wavelength of light used is 470 nm (blue). Because this illuminator does not use UV, your DNA will NOT be damaged by exposure to UV light while you excise your target band.
A big advantage of the Blue LED Illuminator is that it has a hinged amber filter lid. Just lift the lid and place your agarose gel then lower the lid, turn on the light. To excise your target band, just open the lid partially. It could not be easier!
Two DNA ladders are available in a Ready-to-Use (RTU) format.
The first, IDMWD100, is a 100 bp ladder covering 100 bp to 3,000 bp in 12 distinct fragments. The product is stable for at least 6 months at 25°C.
The second, IDMWD1 is a 1 kp ladder covering 250 bp to 10,000 bp in 13 distinct fragments. The product is stable for at least 6 months at 25°C.

IDMW24 has 11 distinct bands ranging in size from 6 to 240 kDa (6, 17, 28, 35, 43, 56, 70, 95, 130, 170 and 240 kDa). The 70 kDa band orange and the 6 kDa band is green. These two serve as quick reference bands.
IDMW26 has 10 prestained proteins covering 10 to 180 kDa with the two reference bands 28 and 75 kDa being green and red, respectively.
DGel Sciences has developed an environmentally safe Coomassie staining solution. Manufactured at its own facilities, this Coomassie staining solution is both fast and environmentally safe. Available as a powder that is dissolves quickly, it stains gels quickly with excellent sensitivity.
