IDGel™ precast polyacrylamide gels are for the separation of proteins and
nucleic acids by electrophoresis. IDGel™ Tris-glycine gels come in one
of two general formats: non-SDS or containing SDS. You can use gels with or without
SDS for electrophoresis under denaturing conditions. The SDS required for the
denaturing condition is provided in the loading and running buffer. We recommend
Tris-SDS gels mainly for more complex samples, like cell extracts. These precast
polyacrylamide gels can be used for both the traditional Laemmli Tris-glycine
buffer system and the Tris-tricine buffer system when analysis of small proteins
or peptides is required. The IDGel™ TAE or TBE products
are precast polyacrylamide gels for nucleic acid analysis (oligonucleotides,
DNA and RNA).
